About Us
Thank you for your interest in Sobriety Foundation! Our mission is to connect with financially disadvantaged individuals and families suffering from the disease of drug and alcohol addiction with customized best-odds-outcome resources designed to promote long-term, sustainable sobriety.
Sober living is an integral part of the drug rehabilitation and recovery process. It provides a safe, supportive space for an addict to put into practice what they learned in residential treatment; in other words, a transitional living environment that helps the addict learns to live life sober. For many, this is the missing piece to lifelong sobriety, and we believe that all of those who need this support should have access to it.
Unfortunately, so many men and women cannot afford sober living. Financial resources are often scarce to begin with, and after detox and residential treatment, there is little money remaining. Returning to the environment they came from can be detrimental to an addict’s sobriety, often times resulting in a relapse, homelessness, and sadly for many death due to an overdose. Sober living provides the opportunity to transition into a real world environment and use what they’ve learned in treatment to integrate new habits, engage in purposeful activities such as school, work, and service, and really change their old pattern of living, enabling them to become healthy, contributing members of their community.
The Sobriety Foundation’s goal is to help men and women truly transform their lives. Our vision for the future is to provide resources to help with all stages of the recovery process, by offering scholarships for sober living. Currently as we grow our financial resources to meet this goal, we use donations provide sober living and aftercare services to those who have shown commitment and resolve to continue their recovery process.
Together, as a community, we can help change lives which in turn enrich our communities. Sadly, addiction related crimes, costs, and deaths are on the rise and the disease of addiction likely affects someone you know. Additionally, untreated addiction affects all of us. We welcome your support in helping us change lives. Every person we help is someone’s child, mother, father, brother, sister, or friend; and each person we help can help another, creating a ripple effect that can change our community for the better. We would love for you to be a part of that positive change by making a donation, allowing us to continue our current efforts and make our future vision a reality..
